Mount Carmel Area Public Library is in the Pottsville Library District

We have a new online reading challenge for you to join!

We are using a new software package called Beanstack

https://pottsvillelibrary.beanstack.org

No Library card needed! It only takes about 3 minutes to register your entire family, and Beanstack sorts everyone into the correct program.

There is a mobile app which lets you scan ISBN numbers to input titles and authors if you want to keep track of which books you’ve read. You can also use the mobile app’s timer feature to automatically input your minutes.

You may notice an odd display in the library window. This is our plague doctor.

Acknowledging the

significance of the pandemic the world is contending with, we are looking at the history of one of its most significant

predecessor: the Black Death, Bubonic Plague.

We encourage visitors to view the display, and to take out books related to the topic, to learn something interesting and appreciate the

significance of this moment in the world.
